Lunchbox Goole is pleased to announce it will resume its free meals giveaway during the February half-term holidays.
As the half-term holidays start, and with the pressure of lockdown again rearing its head, more and more children and young people risk going hungry. Lunchbox Goole will be giving away meals at its usual time of 12-2pm from Monday 15th February to Friday 19th February. The giveaway session will run from our HQ of Revive Church (click here for directions).
Liz Green, Volunteer Coordinator at New Life Support – the charity that oversees Lunchbox Goole – said of the news: “We are so pleased to be able to resume operations in what could be another difficult period for our most vulnerable. “The town of Goole stood up as one in 2020 when the pandemic first hit, and when the first lockdown threatened to overhaul our lives. “As a charity we were overwhelmed by the support we received back then and remain confident of the same this time round. So come on down and get your free lunches!”
Children, young people and their families – from Goole and surrounding areas are welcome. We will need a couple of details when you first visit us – and children under 11 will need to be accompanied.

Lunchbox Goole, which first started operations in July 2020, is determined to alleviate holiday hunger in Goole, and we hope you can join us in making this dream a reality!
