What's volunteering all about
Volunteering with New Life Support is all about the desire to help. From setting up and delivering projects, to conducting activities, to simply just being there when we most need it. There's a wide variety of roles. Your task could be as simple as registration of participants but the wider impact is one of accountability and ensuring adherence to safety procedures. Likewise, writing a food order down may not seem the most taxing of jobs but it helps us deliver on our promise of banishing holiday hunger with our Lunchbox Goole project.

The benefits to you
You pick up valuable skills that you can easily apply to industries outside of New Life Support. Whether it's boosting your CV for a new job or just adding a new skill to your existing role, New Life Support can help add that extra arrow to your professional quiver.

All training is provided in-house by our experienced support workers so all you need is a can-do attitude and a big smile!

Safeguarding is paramount within the work of New Life Support. All staff and volunteers are DBS checked and given full training in the policies and procedures of New Life Support. Every session is monitored and evaluated to ensure adherence.

"Volunteering is about being part of the decision-making, part of the program, of what's going on in the day-to-day activities."

Key tasks for volunteers

The only constant in life is change, and our team can only be as flexible as its individual volunteers.

Taking the lead

Accounts, audits, stock-taking or PR and marketing - lead and implement your ideas across projects and watch them bloom.

Friendly face

We are public-facing most of the time and being an engaging personality is vital to our cause - is your smile up to the task?

Learn on the go

Nothing better than project-based training - sometimes, it's okay to leave the classroom. Are you ready to begin your next chapter?
